School Council

Our school councillors are a team of children, two from each class from Years 1 to 6. They are democratically voted in and in some KS2 classes they write and perform a speech to convince their peers that they are the right candidate for the the job!

The school council is ably led by Mr Spencer and they have regular meetings, with an agenda, minutes and actions to follow up on. The pupils' voices are then collated and presented to Ms Green and the other senior leaders, leading to real changes and impact on the direction of the school.

Their dedication and hard work regarding their discussion about the sustainability of the school site, culminated in a visit from the engineers and surveyors working on the HS2 project. They very kindly donated litter pickers, cleared the old garden, painted the PE unit and will be back to expand the Early Years outdoor area.
